T 11, Revitalizing the high-rise office building at Taunusanlage 11

The high-rise office building at Taunusanlage 11 was constructed for the US-based Chase
Manhattan Bank in 1972. Directly across from the twin towers of the Deutsche Bank, the 75-
meter high-rise marks the intersection of the most important streets in the Frankfurt banking
quarter, Mainzer Landstraße and Taunusanlage. After an extensive renovation in 1992, the
building stood empty from 2008 to 2011, when the new owner had the building gutted to its
ferroconcrete shell and revitalized to modern standards. On the expanded top floor of the high-
rise, 6-meter-high event spaces offer an impressive view of the Frankfurter Opernplatz and the
city skyline.
