After completing his training in 1984, Ronald Hetzke worked for a variety of architectural firms in Germany and abroad. In 1990 he joined Dieter Bock’s company, Advanta Management AG, where he directed the development of the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest. Other spectacular projects followed, including the Hotel Adlon in Berlin, the Taschenbergpalais in Dresden and 1 Poultry in London. In his position as member of the board of directors at Advanta Management AG, he played a key role in the company’s strategic merger with the Canadian TrizecHahn Corporation, and as CEO he was in charge of the development of several shopping centers in Germany, Spain and Eastern Europe, with an investment volume of two billion euros. In 2001, Ronald Hetzke founded his own company, hp developments, with Hanno Schnörr. The company’s main focus is on project development and project management for luxury hotels, including the two Jumeirah Hotels in Mallorca and Frankfurt, the comprehensive remodeling of the Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg and Le Royal Méridien in Hamburg. Among their most prominent office buildings are K 26 and the OpernTurm in Frankfurt; they were in charge of tenant build-out for the latter.
