The history of Schwarzer Bock Hotel goes back as far as 1450. What’s more, construction work in the building’s basement uncovered remains of a building from the Roman era. After being destroyed by fire and war in the 16th and 17th centuries, the famed bathhouse flourished particularly during the 18th century. World War II again destroyed much of the Schwarzer Bock, but it was rebuilt in the late 1950s in its current form. The Radisson Group has operated Schwarzer Bock Hotel since 1995.
