The JW Marriott Frankfurt is an outstanding luxury hotel in the heart of Frankfurt am Main. It forms part of the Palaisquartier urban ensemble around the Palais Thurn und Taxis, the My Zeil shopping centre and the NEXTOWER. The hotel stands for first-class service, exclusive facilities and a central location.
It was finished in 2011 and a change of operator came in 2022. This was followed, in a first construction phase, by re-branding and renovation of all 218 rooms on the total of 19 floors with guest rooms in this high-rise building, which was designed by KSP Engel und Zimmermann.
The work was carried out during regular hotel business. So as to minimise inconvenience to guests during the renovation, the work was carried out in phases on two floors at a time. The finished floors were then seamlessly put into service when the next two levels were closed for construction.
Comprehensive coordination of the different trades and suppliers was crucial in order to stick to the schedule and ensure high-quality work. Storage space was not available. An external warehouse enabled reliable disposal services and just-in-time delivery.
The renovation of the JW Marriott in Frankfurt am Main was a key step in keeping the hotel up-to-date in terms of technology and offering a top-class experience for guests. The modernisation work has not only improved comfort and amenities, but has also contributed to the hotel’s sustainability and competitiveness. The JW Marriott is now ideally equipped to meet the expectations of its discerning guests and to secure its position as leading luxury hotel in Frankfurt.
