Le Royal Méridien is located on Hamburg’s Outer Alster Lake, and it is noted for its modern architecture and curved glass exterior. An external glass elevator allows visitors to go directly from the ground floor to the panoramic restaurant and bar on the 9th floor. The hotel puts a particular emphasis on art. Le Royal Méridien might be described as an “art hotel,” with more than 600 works by 56 artists, signifying an unusually substantial art collection for a venue outside of a traditional museum.
