The community of Lenggries is nestled in the area of the Isar valley between the Alps and the Alpine foothills, and is surrounded by the Brauneck massif, which is approximately 1,550 metres high. Lenggries is a popular holiday destination and home to outstanding sportspeople such as Michaela Gerg and Martina Ertl.
The hotel was originally opened in 1972 in connection with the Summer Olympics in Munich and is a typical example of 1970s architecture with a strikingly voluminous concrete structure.
The hotel was closed in 2022 after operating for over 50 years. The new owner has undertaken extensive redevelopment work and created additional event areas and staff apartments by building a new annex.
‘Flesslers’ pays homage to Lenggries’ centuries-old timber rafting tradition and its name embodies its deep affiliation with the region. The interior design reflects the retro aesthetics of the 70s and transforms each of the 114 stylishly designed guest rooms into a particular haven. Besides the ‘Nepomuk’ restaurant, the open-air ‘Nepomuk’s Garten’ beer garden and the impressive climbing wall, a special highlight awaits guests on the 6th floor – the ‘Echo’ rooftop bar. Both there and in the directly adjacent modern spa area with its all-round roof terrace, guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of the impressive mountains in the immediate vicinity.
The relaunch of ‘Flesslers’ marks the start of a new hotel culture for the locality and a modern offering for active vacationing in Lenggries.
